RHYTHMS by Bonaventure Jideofor

In music, life resounds deeply.

An ear heard but aches the heart

Yet to another, it graces the ears and melts the heart

To the singer falls the blame?

Perched on a branch the bird sings with love,

On my bed, I heard and I sighed.

Yet another hears and is lifted

To the bird falls the blame?

Served a meal, I walked away hungry,

And of same meal another gives a hug.

Of the both, the tongue is sued?

Or the Cook sent behind bars?

Thus; of the singer and of the bird,

Of the tongue and of the Cook,

Of I and of another Rhythm varies.

For in the heart it resides.
